OTHER MATERIAL
In addition to the titles listed above, we have a wealth of material on the Cultural Revolution and the effects of Mao's rule. We also have wonderful footage of Mao addressing rallies and puffing on cigars, of ecstatic crowds; schoolgirls waving their Little Red Books; fireworks, floats, a packed Tienemann Square, and all the flamboyant paraphernalia that went with the public parades of the 1960s. There is material too on the people's communes, the industrial cities and their workers, nurseries for the children of working mothers, and young Red Guards journeying on foot to bring their message to the rural peasants. We also have harrowing colour footage of a nuclear bomb test, in which animals are used to examine the effects of the blast.
